Tommy Tutone, Bow Wow Wow, Wang Chung, Men Without Hats, Modern English, Tom Bailey of Thomson Twins and Thomas Dolby - in that order (I missed Pimsouls). Biggest surprise of the night was Men Without Hats. I only knew “Safety Dance.” Every other song they played - one was happier and poppier than the next. First time seeing Alanis in 20 years - SHE STILL ROCKS❣️❣️❣️🤟🏼🎸 No costume changes or choreo like the pop girlies I like to see - but she was stomping snd twirling all over the stage like a true ROCK STAR. I recorded the first verse and chorus of most songs, but less of the songs I didn’t know. This upload is as much my personal vlog as it is documenting Alanis’s performance.

Christopher Cross was exceptional last night❣️🎶🦩 Our first time seeing him. He played everything. Even the songs we didn’t know were beautiful. Very soft jazz feel. 💓🎷 My style of concert filming is just to take a verse a chorus ( possibly a memorable solo) for the songs that mean something to me. It’s not meant to be a documentary or true concert film - more like a hybrid vlog/highlights reel....

My comeback❣️ First time since the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus sent a drag queen onstage to make fun behind me when I exceeded my time. This was my best set ever❣️ I landed a few punchlines wrong and forgot to say one joke. But overall, it was great. Would love to hear your thoughts❣️

Phenomenal show❣️Phoenix always electrifies - they remain the most exciting musical act I’ve ever seen live. Thomas Mars still did his performance art traipse through the crowd - with the nonsense red mic cord prop. It was a slightly abridged Alpha Zulu Tour set. Tí Amo tracks were the majority of cuts. @@ufcgamer1943 yes! Someone tried to get Christopher to stop his set. I’m glad he ignored the drama and kept playing. The concert was over in like one or two more songs. so weird! Thanks for reminding me of that.

My usual MO is to film crowd reaction to top of song through end of first chorus, then put phone away until next track. Sometimes also filming lyrics that have special meaning to me. For this show, I also filmed visuals I found irresistible.

The sound quality in that facility is better than any of the 50-60ish Dead shows I've been to in my lifetime. It's a "must experience" for every Deadhead.

i was there at that concert I love weyes blood beck and phoenix so much and I didnt even know who was the opening act and I remember when she came on stage and started playing i cried because i was just so happy because I never thought id be able to see her live let alone beck and phoenix to! this was one of the best nights of my life and after the concert I dropped my phone and it broke so I lost all the vids I took so thank you sm for posting this so people like me can look back on this amazing night. that night was so much fun

Thank you for capturing her speech about the nurses and AIDS. I cried when we were there (we were on the floor between you and the end of the middle catwalk) and again watching it back now. I also bought Ellen & Valery's book after this - what a moving read, everyone should read it.
Thank you so much for commenting, Adam. I’m finishing up an nonfiction book now, and have a novel lined up next. I think I will make the nurses’ book my next read after that.
Also: I’m even more interested in capturing her speeches than I am the performances. It’s the speeches that are unique and special for each audience.

How did your phone not die??? Is there any tip???
Low battery mode. When filming, tap screen to control cam aperture; slide the little ☀️ that appears down (that also will keep what you’re filming from being so blown-out and overlit. Keep screen brightness low. And if your battery is really bad, why not go into airplane mode while you film? Good luck!

@@cylviayoo it will make a big difference. Don’t wait until battery is low to turn on low battery mode. Start off the night in that mode. And lower brightness as low as you can’t stand.
